FIND YOUR DOOR

Where do you come in?

One exchange, five ways in. Each door shows it from your side.

02 · Veterans

From job code to job.

What you did in uniform points somewhere: real jobs near you, what you already bring, how close you are, and the course that closes the gap.

You have 7 of the 9 things this job needs. The 2 you're missing are one course near you. A scholarship can hold the seat while you take it.
The course that closes the gap: Diesel engine diagnostics
LABELLED EXAMPLE · NOT A REAL SEARCH
WHY IT MATTERS · TODAY

You already did the work.

What’s missing is a clear view of where it leads.

Of the defense-industry postings we read, only about a third at the four largest contractors require a bachelor’s outright, and about a quarter at other defense employers.2

You already hold much of what a civilian job takes. The last part is where it stalls.

Training good enough for a military hospital or a flight line often doesn’t count at the civilian door.

Help often arrives late, program by program.

Nothing tells you how close you are to a real job.

WITH THE EXCHANGE

The gap stops being a wall. It becomes a course a school can teach and an employer can fund. An employer can commit a scholarship to a seat before anyone is hired. No money moves until the hire happens.

In high-demand fields, Texas law now requires each university system to offer competency-based bachelor’s degrees, where you earn credit for what you can show you know.7 About twenty such programs already run at six public institutions in Texas, as of September 2026.8

And the work is there: the Pentagon’s industrial-base office told Congress in September that as many as 400,000 skilled-trade jobs in the defense industrial base are unfilled today.11

The other way around, from your side.

01What you did.Type your job code when the exchange opens, in any form, even “I was a medic,” and where you live. You’ll see the work it points to, not a list of titles that look like your code.
02Who’s asking for it.You’ll see the employers reserving that kind of work near you, and how close you already are.
03The course that closes the gap.Not a do-over. A scholarship can hold the seat while you take it.
04Then you choose. With the work, the employer and the path in front of you, and it can start while you still serve.

Every person, employer, seat and course here is an example. Students appear by what they love, never by name, until they say yes.

YOUR MOVE01 · STUDENT · CLEOThe student, with CLEO.Starts with what they love. CLEO helps them find it and sharpen it.
02 · EMPLOYER · REEVEThe employer, with REEVE.Reserves the seat it needs, in its own words. A scholarship can hold the seat.
WHAT YOU SEE03 · UNIVERSITYThe university. Its own courses connect the two. It sees demand as seats are ordered, and decides what to teach.
WHAT YOU SEE04 · BOTH SIDESBoth sides see the pipeline. The student sees who is reserving the work they love. The employer sees students growing toward its seat, by number, not name.
YOUR MOVE05 · BOTH SIDESThe introduction. When the student says yes, the two meet.
YOUR MOVE06 · BOTH SIDESThe hire. Both sign one record. No money moves until the hire.
THE RECEIPT AT THE HIRE
This time, you saw the work first.
FOR VETERANSBuilt to get you from service to the work that fits it, starting from what you already did.

The aim isn’t the next job. It’s the next twenty years of a working life.

ONE NEXT STEP

Every service member separates. What nobody hands them is the list of employers already asking for what they did.
